Itinerary
Day 1: AGARTALA ARRIVAL
Arrival at Agartala Airport / Station – the capital city of the state Tripura and the place of Royal Palaces and Temples. Evening free leisure activities. O/N stay in Agaratala.
Day 2: AGARTALA SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, excursion to the lake city Udaipur, The main attractions in Udaipur are Tripura Sundari Temple, popularly known as Matabari, one of the 51 Pithas of Hindu Puran, Bhuvaneswari Temple, Gunabati group of Temples, Vast Lakes with scenic beauty. O/N stay in Agartala.
Day 3: AGARTALA – SILCHAR
After breakfast take your drive to Silchar (200km, approx). On arrival check in hotel. O/N stay in Silchar.
Day 4: SILCHAR – AIZWAL
After Breakfast, drive to Aizwal (150km, approx). At Aizwal visit, Mizoram State museum on Macdonald Hill for a deeper insight into Mizo culture & shop for traditional crafts. Evening free for leisure and shopping. O/N stay in Aizwal.
Day 5: AIZWAL – SILCHAR
After Breakfast, drive back to Silchar. On arrival at Silchar, check in hotel. O/N stay in Silchar.
Day 6: SILCHAR – IMPHAL
After breakfast take your drive to Imphal (260km, approx). On arrival at Imphal, check into your hotel. O/N stay in Imphal.
Day 7: IMPHAL SIGHTSEEING
After Breakfast, visit Loktak Lake which is the largest fresh water lake in the North-East and Keibul Lamjao National Park which is located in the south western part of Loktak Lake. Keibul Lamjao national park is the only floating park in the world. After that visit War Cemeteries and the historic Kangla Fort. Evening free for leisure. O/N stay in Imphal.
Day 8: IMPHAL – KOHIMA
After Breakfast, proceed to Kohima (145km, approx) – the capital city of Nagaland and the ruins of the old Palace of Kangla located in the heart of the town. Kohima is a beautiful town known to the world for halting the Japanese force during the Second World War En-route visit Kisama Heritage Village. On arrival at Kohima, check into the hotel. Evening free for leisure. O/N stay in Kohima.
Day 9: KOHIMA – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
After Breakfast, ready for Kohima sightseeing, visit Khonoma village, Bishop Cathedral & War memorial, then proceed for Kaziranga National Park (215km, approx) – a World Heritage Site and Tiger Reserve, covering an area of 430 Sq km. It is the home to more than 80% of world’s Rhino population. O/N stay in Kaziranga National Park.
Day 10: JUNGLE ACTIVITY AT KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
Today early morning go for Elephant ride (5.30-6.30 a.m. / 6.30-7.30 a.m.) in the Central / western range of the park then back to resort and have breakfast, afternoon go for an exclusive jeep safari (2.30 p.m. onwards) in the central range. O/N stay at Kaziranga.
Day 11: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK – BOMDILA
After breakfast, proceed to Bomdila (250 km, approx ) – the headquarter of west Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh and also known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has a lot of attractions for the visitors for its cool climate. . En-route visit Nag Temple. On arrival Bomdila, check in at hotel. Evening free for leisure. O/N stay in Bomdila.
Day 12: BOMDILA – TAWANG
After breakfast, check out from hotel & visit Bomdila Monastery & proceed to Tawang (180km) – the land of Monpa Tribes & major centre of the Mahayana Buddhists. On the way to Tawang lies the world’s second highest pass – THE SELA PASS (13,700ft) which run through a small ridge & along a lake called PARADISE LAKE. On arrival check in hotel. O/N stay in Tawang.
Day 13: TAWANG SIGHTSEEING
After Breakfast, visit the PENGA TEN TSO Lake (P.T.S.O.), Tawang Monastery, the Monastery is 400 year old and adorned with the 18 ft. High statue of Lord Buddha. Also visit the very famous Tawang War Memorial. Evening free for leisure. O/N stay in Tawang.
Day 14: TAWANG – BOMDILA
After Breakfast, proceed to Bomdila (180 km, approx) Visit Jung Water Falls. Also visit the most beautiful and unpredictable Dirang Valley and Kiwi Garden Arrive at Bomdila. Check into the hotel. O/N stay in Bomdila.
Day 15: BOMDILA – TEZPUR
After Breakfast, proceed to Tezpur (163 km), known as the ‘city of Eternal Romance’, situated on the bank of Brahmaputra River, adorned by lush green hills and hillocks. Enroute visit Orchidarium at Tipi. On arrival at Tezpur, visit Chitralekha Udyan. Later check into the hotel. Evening free leisure activities. O/N stay in Tezpur.
Day 16: TEZPUR – SHILLONG
After breakfast, visit Mahavairabh Temple, Agnigarh. Then drive to Shillong (271 km) - known as the ‘Scotland of the East’. En-route you will visit the largest manmade lake of Northeast India – Umium Lake – you can opt for some thrilling water sports in the lake. O/N stay in Shillong.
Day 17: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG
Today drive to Cherrapunji (65km) – the wettest place on the earth. En-route visit Elephant Falls & Shillong Peak at Shillong. At Cherrapunji visit Mawsmai Cave and Seven Sister Falls & Nohkalikai Falls. After lunch at Cherrapunji drive back to Shillong. O/N stay in Shillong.
Day 18: SHILLONG EXCURSION TO MAWLYNNONG
Today after breakfast, explore Mawlynnong (90km, approx) – claimed to be the cleanest village of Asia. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Evening drive back to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong
Day 19: SHILLONG – GUWAHATI
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Guwahati (100 km / 3hrs). On arrival at Guwahati. Check in to the hotel. After refreshment visit Srimanta Shankardeva Kalakshetra. O/N stay in Guwahati.
Day 20: GUWAHATI DEPARTURE
After Breakfast, Check out from the hotel and drive to Airport / Railway Station for your return onward destination.
